A raffinery needs at least 1 kWh for the production of 1 litre of fuel. Or 6 kWh for 6 liters, which is the typical consumption of gasoline powered cars for 100 kilomers.
A Tesla model 3 typically needs 16 kWh per 100 kilometers.
This means that we already have one third of the electricity, that we need to replace gasoline powered cars with electric cars. That electricity is just currently wasted in raffineries.
